What Does Frozen Tundra Have to do with Real Estate? That long expanse of frozen white ice that goes on for miles and miles which seem to have no end. You know from all those National Geographic specials and History channel shows that give you that sense of forboding. Sometimes in RI real estate there is just no mutual love between buyers and sellers. It seems as though the frozen tundra is on the table and all around you.
There is more than the cold chill in the air, it is the lack of courtesy and poor sense of manners that amazes me. It is like buyers and sellers revert back to their childhood behaviors if they were not disciplined properly. OMG, perhaps we might try separate rooms for each side of the house sale...compartmentalize them...warm the chill on this real estate sale. It just is not happening on some RI real estate transactions.
So how do you prevent this escalation of icicle greetings on any real estate deal? Never having the parties come in contact with one another prior to closing. That is why they have real estate agents. However, there are times due to structural home repairs or mini rental home agreements prior to closing that necessitate buyers and sellers meeting. Normally not a wise idea...I will say it again...not a wise idea. Personalities do come out, one or the other becomes incensed and there goes that huge snowball heading down the hill at someone.
What is the end prize? To reward someone with a home they want, love and to hopefully fill the coffers of the other party. This is what buyers and sellers need to focus on. Melt the tundra, just smile for a bit and know you never need to see that other party on the other side of the table again. What Does Frozen Tundra Have to do with Real Estate?
