Google Shortener Shutting Down April 13

Using Google Shortener No More

Google

My trusted google shortener to add to posts and my web site is the Google Shortener 'goo.gl'....be aware this is a big change who have used it for more than a half dozen years.  Starting April 13th, 2018, new users or anonymous ones will not be able to create new short links via google console.  I would suggest you use other services like Bitly or Ow.ly.

Google promises to those already using goo.gl shortener for another year and all google shortened posts will continue to be redirected to the right area.  I think it is best to make that change now and get use to the new services.  Just a heads up!
