Do You Believe in Divine Intervention in Real Estate?

Well some of my home buyers do.  What are the chances of two sets of buyers I have from the same company getting laid off at the same time?  Not in the same departments but at the same organization...a very large corporation.  And how might this divine intervention of a holy week (for many) play a role in home buying?  Well it stopped purchases before the home purchase in RI real estate closed.

In many home buying instances nowadays both incomes for husband and wife are needed to sustain a move.  This is especially true when you have not sold the home you are living in yet.  Both buyers are very relieved that they had not sold their homes first.  They both wanted to wait until they closed on their new home.  With two incomes that can be possible.  Also, they did not want to create any uncertainty in their lives either...smart moves financially

So it happens that my pockets have become a bit shallower today but these home buying 'out of the blue' occurrences do happen.    My buyers are all very grateful that I can relieve them of their purchase and sales agreement on their new home.  Besides the shock of job loss (which was immediate), they have to deal with the loss of a home they had truly fallen in love with!  A tough situation too.  So whether or not the heavens intervened at the right time or wrong time, it was the wise thing to happen for these buyers.

I would not have wanted them to close on homes where they would be strapped financially.  We will begin again the search for the right home another time.  Life comes at us differently and for these home buyers a bit of higher power they believe is the upside of this tough decision.  I'm wondering now if it was trying to tell me something too.  Do You Believe in Divine Intervention in Real Estate?
