Denver Colorado has a once in a lifetime exhibit in the United States to view the creative genius behind Yves Saint Laurent noted French fashion icon. He instilled the boldness in change in women's fashion by being conscious of their bodies, wants and visual effect on others. Hundreds of outfits of his creation are on a memorable display at the Denver Art Museum along with video clips of his creative process.
What touched me so much in experiencing this YSL exhibit was the way this fashion designer touched every part of his business and design. He had to have live models to fit his creative designs to, feel fabric and fit. Truly a designer who loved his fashion business and his clients (as they loved him) and why he was so successful in his medium. He took the care and the time to create.
What does this have to do with Rhode Island real estate or the real estate industry in general? The quality of dressing a home for a successful sale is the ultimate key. As stagers in this real estate industry can demonstrate time and again, it is the visual effect from the curb appeal on the drive by of a home to the initial 'pop' when you walk into that home's front entry that captures the buyers. Realtors need to work with their sellers to 'dress for success' their homes in a different way.
It is this kinship of how we dress ourselves to how we dress our homes that can step it up a notch in home sales especially in the buyers market realm of real estate.
Let's put a different spin on our house dressing (and forgo the salad) in the future and take some ideas of a noted fashion french master.
