Salute to Our Veterans November 11 2019

Salute to Our Veterans- Make It Local with Kindness

Woodrow Wilson created Veterans Day in the early 1900s to Salute Veterans of all Wars.

Statute of Liberty with U.S. Flag- Veterans Day in North Kingstown RI

The words of that he gave on this day for all Veterans we believe in so much...

"To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with solemn pride in the heroism of those who died in the country's service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations."

Reach out today November 11th and call or see someone who is a Veteran or visit a Veterans cemetery.  Support a parade and thank them for all they have done and given of themselves for this country.  Let them know you really appreciate their service and you are honored to know them.  Get your American flags flying high because this is our country and we need to appreciate it.  No matter what our divides these men and women put themselves in Harm's Way for us and our freedom.

My thoughts are with my Dad who fought in WW II in the South Pacific and Iwo Jima.  He was such a strong Marine.  Semper Fi, Dad.
