Wherever I go people ask me what is East Greenwich real estate doing? Are home prices increasing? Well perhaps the following 
data will answer some of the questions asked. The East Greenwich RI homes for sale market update for May 2013 data is as follows:
Active Single Family Homes for Sale: 116
Pending Homes: 41 homes
Days on Market: 105
Sold Homes: 15 homes
6 homes sold for less than $300,000, 2 homes sold between $300,000-$400,000, 11 homes sold for greater than $400,000 and 1 home sold for over $1 million.
The average priced sold home was $494,700 at 95% of list price and days on market was 105. Home prices are up this month significantly in East Greenwich, home sales are up by 33% over April and sales to list price is up by 1%. Home inventory is up slightly still giving choices to home buyers. Again this real estate market is one of the few RI home markets that has been a 'balanced' real estate market between buyers and sellers.
The East Greenwich RI real estate homes for sale May 2013 update report is showing renewed buyer activity here and should continue strong through 2013. But remember, if you bought your home several years ago, your home is not likely worth today what you paid for it then yet. If you really want to know what it is worth in real dollars, call me for a true market analysis.
