In December 2010 there were 68 Jamestown RI homes for sale which is a 14% decrease in the number of homes over the prior month of November 2010. The home inventory has dropped slightly this month. Yet there is still a fine choice of homes available at affordable prices. Buyers are actively looking to make their purchases now as mortgage rates remain at historically low levels.
Jamestown RI homes sold for December 2010 were up from 4 sold the prior month to 6 homes sold in December. A bit of an uptick in the market even with the holiday season present. Conanicut Island, as Jamestown is known as and is it's formal designation, has wonderful waterfront views from all sides of the island and is where Beavertail State Park is located (south end of the island) - all a great lure for buyers. With amazing restaurants, ease of living as well as closeness to Newport RI, Jamestown is not a drive by when you are searching for a place to live.
Jamestown pending home sales decreased by 2 homes from the prior month with only 2 homes remaining in contract agreement by month end.
