3 homes sold for between $300,000-$400,000
6 homes sold for less than $300,000
Overall there were about 197 homes on the market during May 2010 in Narragansett RI 02882. A healthy increase of 39 homes came on the market during May 2010 and is typical of the spring market in southern RI. Interestingly, there was a substantial uptick in waterfront and water view homes put into agreement in May as buyers look for coastal RI home buys in Narragansett RI.
Even though the First Time Home Buyer's tax credit ended in April 2010 (military status personnel have an extension for another year with some restrictions - go to www.irs.gov for more information), there has been a 50% increase in the number of homes sold in May 2010 over the prior month of April 2010. Also, remember that the homes in agreement now for this federal tax credit have until June 30, 2010 to close on their home.
