South Kingstown Farmers Market at Kingston RI 02881 at URI's East Farm is Open for the spring/summer season. It is easily accessible off of Rte. 108 at URI's East Farm just a mile down
from the Rte. 108 & Rte. 138 intersection. Open every Saturday from 8:30 am to noon through October you enter an outdoor market (rain
or shine
) that has all natural, native, homegrown or homemade items to tempt you. Yesterday my trek there was for great tomato plants
and they were in abundance...i found over 15 different varieties to choose from! Personally, roma tomato plants were for me because they cook up so well in a sauce.

With over 25 vendors at peak times of the Farmers Market season in Kingston, you will find everything from explosive plants
, unusual & exotic shrubs & trees, local honey, natural beauty products, local veggies & fruits, homemade breads & pies, organically grown items from eggs to yams, oysters from Narragansett Bay, etc. It is a destination Farmers Market that is close to my heart
. I've been going to the South Kingstown Farmers Market since I was in college at URI so supporting locally grown produce & products is important to me. Local businesses all over need locals to buy from them
Plus who can resist those tempting freshly made cranberry orange scones early in the morning - not me.
Even bunnies & lambs are there for the kids to enjoy and pet...and sometimes a cow
During the summer months there's music
to buy by as well as cooking demonstrations on how to use fresh produce different health ways in your meals.

During my financial career in banking I also had an organic farm (my healthy way to deal with job stress) with my partner and South Kingstown Farmers Market was where we would sell our mesclun greens and unusual annuals & plants
. It was a wonderful time in my life too. My customers and fellow growers were always so supportive & appreciative of what you produced from the good earth. Now many are my clients in real estate. South Kingstown Farmers Market in Kingston RI 02881 is where you want to be Saturday mornings.

So if you are in the market....i.e. real estate market for a home
, please give me a call I know the RI turf and markets very well.
