Welcome Home to North Kingstown Elizabeth Beisel! Elizabeth Beisel the hometown 2012 Olympic swimming
champion for RI returned home last night to Rhode Island real estate. It was quite a production at the Providence airport with a special welcoming for the family of Elizabeth Beisel. With 2 Olympic medals - one gold and one bronze for her swimming feats at the 2012 London Olympics, this RI home grown girl returned to her roots.
From the airport to the North Kingstown High School, hundreds welcomed her home. It was truly amazing to see young and old there to welcome her in a hoopla celebration. As gracious and down to earth as Elizabeth is, many just wanted to let her know how proud they were of her. As Elizabeth says, that if it wasn't for the waterfront North Kingstown town she grew up in, she probably never would have made it to the 2012 Olympics. The swimming opportunities have been wonderful to spur her on.
Elizabeth has a week of rest and off to Florida and back to college. She said she is planning on participating in the 2016 Olympics too - great new goals to look forward to. Oh by the way, she said where else would she come back to be after college but the town of North Kingstown RI!
Wearing her incredible smile the whole time and obviously overwhelmed by the outpouring of support...Welcome Home to North Kingstown Elizabeth Beisel! You warm our hearts for being who you are.
Now where were the Olympic medals this whole celebration time? Oh, she has them in her purse! Let's let this swimmer relax with family for a week now. Welcome Home to North Kingstown Elizabeth Beisel!

Hi Ginny,
Always a good thing when we have Olympians from our home town.
Here we have a couple major league baseball players from Carlsbad.
One of them is Cody Ross that now plays right field for the Boston Red Sox.
Have a good day in North Kingstown, R.I.
