Ginny's RI House Hunt Blog: Quonset Bike Path - Life is Heading to the Beach!

Quonset Bike Path - Life is Heading to the Beach!

Quonset Bike Path - Life is Heading to the Beach!  The finishing touches are just coming to be to the extended bike path from the Quonset Office Park ( by Kohl's where it starts) just off Post Road in North Kingstown to Calf Pasture beach on Narragansett Bay.  This Quonset bike path (or North Kingstown bike Quonset bike path -waterfront RI Real Estatepath) has been years in the making.  It is about 4 miles in length passing by Allens Harbor, Quidnessett neighborhoods and ending in the lovely waterfront RI real estate community of Mount View.

Newly paved it is a wonderful ride which I have made via bike round trip in about an hour (walking will take you longer). Whether you are on bike, skateboard or roller blades or just walking, it is a great bike path to enjoy.

Soak up the beauty of the landscape and you will be amazed by the bike path's end point.  To come around that last stretch of path and see Narragansett Bay in front of you as well as Calf Pasture beach is awesome.

You can stop, relax and sample the wonderful waterfront in front of you.  Not too many bike paths take you to the RI waterfront like the Quonset bike path does.

Added reminder: cars are not allowed at the endpoint of the bike path since parking is restricted for Mount View residents only (non-Mount View cars will be fined).

Rain or shine the North Kingstown bike path is open for business to all.  We have such a great off road choice for all North Kingstown residents to enjoy the days pleasures.  Start biking, walking  or running for your health and enjoyment on the bike path today!  Looking for more than bike path's in your Rhode Island real estate journey?  If you are ready to find the right North Kingstown neighborhood and home for sale, contact a North Kingstown real estate agent.  I’d love the opportunity to help.  Phone me today at (401) 529-7849, or email me at RiByTheBay@gmail.com to schedule an appointment.  Quonset Bike Path - Life is Heading to the Beach!

Hi Ginny,

Glad you told the rest of the story. The bike path in the picture looks to be about 50 yards long. But at four miles it would be a ride and a workout too.

I did'nt know Conrad Allen had a harbor named after his family. LOL

Have a great day and week in North Kingstown, R.I.

Best, Clint McKie

Ginny what a great location for a bike path.  I bet bikers will not want to stop biking once they are on it.

Ginny, you are so going to enjoy that path without the worry of vehicle traffic.  I'm still on the stationary bike until it cools off a bit more but it must be exhilerating with your blue sky, fresh air and the bay at your fingertips.
