Loving the Rhode Island Coast in Winter

OOPS not Yet but it Feels Like It

There is beauty in those dark Rhode Island shores...from the deep blue grey of an angry ocean after the winds come through, to the icy seawalls protecting homes, frozen toppings on the sand and it is truly Rhode Island in winter along this coast.

RI coastal winter water scene

It is my piece of RI coastal real estate that I enjoy walking and knowing everyday in my work as a RI real estate agent and leisure time.  Let me know if you are interested in living on or by the RI shoreline and how my knowledge will guide you in your home search.

Hard to tell the snow from the sand...winter's white blanket...and here our lawns are still greenish brown....Know that if anyone is headed to Rhode Island, calling Ginny Gorman for all things real estate is the best thing they can do !

No doubt, Ginny... that it's beautiful... but I still prefer to enjoy that particular type of beauty from afar where it's warmer!

I bet it is gorgeous there year round, from snow to sun.  Your description was great and I can just imagine the beauty of it all!

I shivered as soon as I saw that .gif. lol Southern girl here! But there is something beautiful in how the ocean laps against the snow.

I completely agree with Dorie Dillard CRS GRI ABR on this. I couldn't sell property if I didn't love where I sell it. You are the same.  Your love of that winter scene proves how much you love the Rhode Island coast.

Hello Ginny,  You are so lucky to live where you are at and enjoy the water (Unless it is to snowy)

Those scenes remind me of a Christmas Day along the Northern California coast.  The trip had come at the end of a very exhausting time.  We had a similar scene outside our hotel window, but we slept for 14 hours straight, then had a wonderful dinner.  Even without all the holiday fanfare, it was a wonderful Christmas.

It looks beautiful, but I am afraid it would be way too cold for me there, I will have to live vicariously through you!

Here on Prudence Island, R.I.  in beautiful Narragansett Bay, we enjoy "softer" temperature due to the salt water. Although the wind can whip, snow doesn't usually last long. Winter is late and spring comes early.  Peaceful and magical in the off season.  Happy 2019 to all.
